Santa Clarita is a wonderful community who are looking for a less expensive home with the possibility of larger lots compared to other areas within Los Angeles County (i.e, Pasadena, Glendale, Altadena, etc.). My wife and I are huge animal lovers and we have found Santa Clarita/Sand Canyon to be very pet friendly. Some areas are zoned for horse property and there are plenty of dog parks in the area for all members of the family to enjoy. One particular sanctuary we have in our midst is the Gentle Barn, a sanctuary for farm animals and families can go tour/visit the facilities on the weekends.
