On Friday, December 14, 2007, the City of Santa Clarita unleashed its first off-leash dog park, called Central Bark. The 1.3 acre doggie park is located near the back of Central Park, located at 27150 Bouquet Canyon Road, adjacent to the multi-use fields. The new off-leash dog park has a designated area for small dogs and a separate area for larger dogs.
The off-leash dog park came about in response to hundreds of requests received over the years by the City from area dog-lovers. This new off-leash dog park is to be an interim dog park site until the City's permanent dog park is constructed at the Santa Clarita Sports Complex. The City plans to have the permanent park opened in late 2009.

New Homes:
Do NOT leave out new homes as part of your home search. Home builders can offer
favorable rates and terms if you use their lender. Different builders will offer different floor plans,
and upgrade packages. There is plenty to chose from.
Let me introduce you to the new homes sales associate. This way you will
have some representation at no cost to you and the builder may be more willing to
negotiate upgrades. If I am happy with the way a builder treats my clients, the more likely
it is that I will bring another potential new home buyer to that builder.
New homes do not offer the large style lots that you will find with your typical ranch house.
If a smaller lot is not a problem, you may want to include new homes in your housing search.
